Cheat Mode
Press Ctrl + Shift + C to display the console window and then enter one of the following case-sensitive codes (without the quotes) to enable the corresponding effect. On Vista press Ctrl + Windows + Shift + C to display the console window. The codes for the original 'The Sims 3' can also be enabled.
Unlock New Basement Tools:
Enter the code 'buydebug'
Toggle Objects Allowed on Roofs:
Enter the code 'allowObjectsOnRoof (On/Off)'

buy mode
You can access the Special Items Buy Menu sort by going to Buy Mode, opening the cheat console (hit Shift + Ctrl + C) and entering “buydebug.” This new sort allows you to pick out new tomb objects such as floor traps, floor switches, dive wells, and more!
